Growing up at the mouth of the Connecticut river, Ash was always moving as quickly as the currents. She got her first speeding ticket on 95 near New Haven, the same road she drove back and forth on every week between her two parents’ houses. A latchkey kid of divorce, she was always unsettled and searching for home. “Until My Heart Grows Quiet” is a song of longing, searching and running – until eventually, you find someone who will run with you, and makes you wonder if all that movement is still necessary.
